Ayurvedic Churna is the simplest form of Ayurvedic medicine which can be easily prepared. The Churna, which we are going to prepare, should be first referred from recognized Ayurvedic text or Ayurvedic formulary of India (AFI). Now a day, there is new machinery have invented, the process of Churna preparation become a very easy task. All the required herbs are cleaned, dried and powdered together by disintegrators. Mechanical shifters are also used in this process. There are different herbal containing churnas are selling in the market for various ailments both in chronic and preliminary acute conditions. Screening of phytochemicals was performed on seeds Trachyspermum ammi and Carum carvi. In order to analyse the various biologically active compounds. Phytochemical screening on aqueous and ethanolic extracts of seeds plant revealed the presence of alkaloids, amino acid, steroid, glycoside, cardiac glycoside, saponin, flavonoid, tannin and phenolic compound. The TLC of plant seeds extract of plant seeds shows various different Rf value as well as same Rf value was observed in respective plants seeds extract. From this study it was concluded that some same phytochemical in these extract are present along with some different phytochemical. Further work will emphasize the isolation and identification of active compound. TLC profiling of all extracts gives an impressive result that directing towards the presence of a number of phytochemicals. This information will help in the further separation of the compound from these plant extracts and these biologically active compounds can be used in the treatment of various diseases....
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic and pandemic disease of the immune system caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The virus attacks a specific type of white blood cells known as T-lymphocytes which are essential for normal functioning of human immune system that protects body against every type of illnesses. Antiretroviral therapies are prescribed for the treatment of AIDS/HIV. Although these agents have been used clinically, most of them are not yet completely effective against HIV and also associated with many adverse effects, drug resistance. In many developing and developed countries, a large number of populations believe on traditional herbal formulation to meet primary health care needs. Medicinal plants are loaded with therapeutic phytoconstituents, which possess anti-AIDS activity by Inhibiting HIV protease, reverse transcriptase, cell-to-cell transmission, viral replication, syncytia formation and stopping spread of HIV among lymphocytes. In the present review, we have collected information about some medicinal plants and natural phytoconstituents that have been studied preclinically against HIV, which may open new arena for the development of novel anti-HIV herbal formulations....
